I am looking for a website that has a lot of "how to" tips on how to decorate the interior of homes. Lots of pictures of rooms, paint color options that look good together, etc. On the line of design... such as that of Pottery Barn or like that of how they design on the show Extreme Home Makeovers. I am sick of looking at white walls. I like contemporary, unique and cozy. We are a young couple, so we would like our home to look cool. I live in a small town, so the closest store for decorating is Walmart. I need something that will help me add style and coordinate. Otherwise I buy a whole bunch of stuff that doesn't make a whole lot of sense and I can never come up with any colors I like, that I won't want to change! Please help!

Which home-study interior decorating/design should I choose? I'm interested in taking a home-study (preferably an online or web based) course in interior decorating or design and I've narrowed it down to three but I don't know which one to pick! one is offered by Penn Foster (www.pennfoster.edu/decorator/index.html), one by PCDI (www.pcdi.com/courses/hh/index.html) and the other one by Sheffield School of Interior design (www.shefield.edu). They are very similar and I'm trying to get a course that would actually teach me something about decorating and I'm afraid that I'll pay the money and end up with a gimmiky heap of rubbish!! I'm not very much concerned with accreditation as I live outside the US and I don't think I'll be looking for a job there as a decorator. I want a course that would be informative, fun and challanging while teaching me some worthwhile principles of interior decorating/design. If anyone has any idea about these courses, I would love to hear thier feedback on this.

Something with pretty good grafics would be nice, like that HGTV show, "Hidden Potential" Thanks :) Try and keep under a couple hundred dollars please, I understand that amazing grafics are in the thousand dollar range, but decent grafics are fine too. Can I start my own at home Interior Design business without taking the NCIDQ? Can I start my own at home Interior Design business with an AA degree in interior design and architecture. I went to an accredited school and graduated in 09. I cant afford to go for my BA and due to me only having my AA, I am unable to take the NCIDQ. I have had years of real world experience and want to start my own little business at home. I'm already working on a business plan and have my logo done.. Has anyone been in my shoes and successfully started their own business with an AA degree in interior design? Hi, I m living outside US. I m intrested to contact a company for home remodelling and interior design? that can provide me with working drawings and ideas over the interner. All what I should provide is the home drawings and plans, some real photos and my style preference. Do you know any companies that offer this service over the internet? Thanks. If for remodelling it is an issue due to different codes, what about the interior design? This would be easier I think.
computer 3D home design / interior design? I want to design some interiors using a 3D package for the pc. I have tried several home design programmes but I find these very limited for what I want to acheive, The choice of furniture and appliances are limited and the renders are poor. I would like a programme that allows me to design unique peices of furniture and finish with quality renders, textures and lighting effects. Programmes I have considered are turbocad 11 and 3D max but these look complicated I am a complete begineer with this sort of programme and wouldn't have a clue where to start. Can anyone recommend any programmes that will help me acheive what I want that would be fairly easy for a novice to pick up and preferably one with a printed manual rather than an online manual. How can we comprise on the interior design of our home He is into earthy, muted color tones. Traditional furniture mixed with contemporary accents. I'm into 'Fiesta' type home. Think "Romantic, homey, Mexican restaurant" interior. Lots and lots of color. I like antique, wooden, old world looking furniture. Looking for Web Sites to Assist/Inspire with Home Interior Design? After nearly 29 years of marriage, I am finally divorcing and striking out on my own. That is a tale onto itself. At any rate, I be buying a home (detached single family) in the very near future in the metropolitan Washington DC area. While I may ultimately hire an interior designer, I would prefer to explore the possibilities of style and color. So, I would appreciate recommendations for websites that present a variety of styles, and ideally allow manipulation of furniture, rugs, accessories, and of course color. The case is the bit that houses the internal components of the computer. So not necessarily something geeky and pimped out, perhaps to blend nicely with your furniture. Working as a Interior Designer from home what are my best options for me to market myself on a very low budget I am an interior designer and have a steady stream of old clients who are very loyal to me, and so far majority of the work that I get is through word of mouth. I want to attract new clients but am not sure quite how to go about it and what would be my best options to market/advertise myself. Plus as this is a small home run business budget is definitely an issue and I want to make the best use of the tiny amount I can afford to set aside.
