What is the career potential for interior design? I wish I could choose to go into a field that has high demand, but my only real passion and interests are in art/design. To me, interior design honestly seems the most practical, but is there really enough demand in the job market? I've been asking around and people tell me to go into what my heart is in, and I definitely do strongly lean towards art, though I just don't want to waste my time and effort. What sorts of entry-level to mid-level jobs can be found in architectural and/or interior design firms? I'm not interested in the top spot (being the actual architect and/or interior designer), and I'm not interested in the lower spots (being, say, the intern, the gofer, or I dunno, the receptionist). I think that it would be awesome to work in an architectural/interior design firm environment. I made the wrong choice - I wish I'd followed a more creative path, but hey, that's life. Eventually, my dream is to develop property and have my own business.
