What is the career potential for interior design? I wish I could choose to go into a field that has high demand, but my only real passion and interests are in art/design. Wondering about entry-level to mid-level jobs found in architectural/interior design firms? Hello. Just wondering ... What sorts of entry-level to mid-level jobs can be found in architectural and/or interior design firms? I'm not interested in the top spot (being the actual architect and/or interior designer), and I'm not interested in the lower spots (being, say, the intern, the gofer, or I dunno, the receptionist). I think that it would be awesome to work in an architectural/interior design firm environment. It would be nice to be able to contribute to projects in a meaningful way by being trained and skilled enough to do so. I just need to determine what sorts of job positions exist outside of the ones I already mentioned so I can have something to aim for and go to school for. Any and all help I would greatly appreciate! Thanks!

Where would be the best place to apply for an interior design related job in san antonio, tx? I am moving to SA in two months, and i am going to school to get my BS in interior design. I am willing to try for almost any job ( i will probably try to get 2 actually), but i would prefer to at least try to work with an interior designer. Does anyone know of a good place to apply or send my resume. I have some freelance experience, but I am young (20) and do not yet have my degree! Also if anyone happens to need to hire someone in the near future, I have a little experience with almost everything, and i learn very quickly. If anyone has any advice PLEASE let me know. Also, my boyfriend/fiance is going to be moving with me as well.for the last couple of years he has been working and managing at a full service car wash. He is also 20, and trying to save up money for college. He also does some side jobs, in remodeling/constructionon, yard work, general maintenance. Does anyone know a good place he could apply? He does have management experiencece, so it does not necessarily mean a car wash job. If anybody has an opening they need filled for either of us let me know! Thank you !! :)

How can I get into an interior design or decorating career? Hi everyone! I'm 22 years old and about to graduate from my Psychology degree. I made the wrong choice - I wish I'd followed a more creative path, but hey, that's life. Eventually, my dream is to develop property and have my own business. This will take a long time and a lot of saving up, so I know I can't do this straight after Uni. In the meantime, I'd love to start a career in interior design or painting and decorating (or something similar). Does anyone know how I can get into this line of work? Do you know of any apprenticeships or training? Or any jobs where I can just get straight in there? Of course, I'm looking around myself too and researching it, but I just wondered if anyone out there could give me any help. Thanks in advance! xx Emmie I'm in the UK by the way :-)

In 1 year I would have completed my undergrad studies from India in Commerce field (bcom) and i already hold a diploma in Interiors. I am working currently and have completed one year at my current job with an impressive portfolio. Now to further enhance my design skills and gain a wider perceptive, I am seeking a Bachelors degree in Interior Design and I was wondering if it would require a SAT. I want to get the course done in 2 years at max, as i already have a diploma, i might not have to take all courses. Which universities offer such program and how much would they cost? Also are they reputed and Accredited colleges? If it would be close to New Jersey it would be awesome.. Thanks for helping me make an important decision in my life.

Does anyone know how to start an interior design business? Here's the details. Everyone that see's my home raves about my decorating and tells me I should be a designer. Thats fine and sounds very interesting to me, but I have no formal education in interior design. There is not a single college that offers these types of programs in my area and my husband is military, so I cannot move to attend college. I was wondering if it's possible to start a decorating service that just advices clients and helps them with their redecoration. Rather than completely doing the job for them and charging them some sort of insane fee. I want to give people ideas and then help them do that. Like painting etc. And make it very affordable also. Would anyone have any advice on how I should go about this?

how do you make it big in the interior design business? My plan for interior design is while in high school take seperate courses at a community college on business management. Then once I made enough money I'd buy fixer up houses, then sell them after fixing them. Now my question is, if you have any opinions on where to go what classes to take and excatly what I should do. could you please specify them in an answer. I'm very serious about this and have thought it throughly I just need details. Thanks
