I am looking for a website that has a lot of "how to" tips on how to decorate the interior of homes. Is there an Interior Design software that can do what I need? We are moving into a new place soon, and decorating it can be a hassle if you don’t know where to start. I’m looking for some type of program where I can take pictures of my house, and put them in the software which can interface the room and objects (chairs, tables, pictures, rugs, etc). It could give me a 2-D or 3-D image of how the rooms were look if they were decorated. With so many types of software out there, I really don’t know if there is anything similar to what I want to do. I am running Windows Vista so hopefully any programs you guys give me, would work. I know WPF format is new to vista, so anything that ran off of that would be awesome too. If you know of anything that can come close to what I want to do, any information would be fantastic. Thanks.

Help! I need interior design advice! (picture)? I want to give our apt a face lift but we are not permitted to paint the walls, even if we paint them back when we move. They are a horrible HIGH gloss off white. Also, our living room is very large for an apt. 14'x13' so you can imagine how annoying big plain walls are. My decor colors are Light Green, Ivory, Gold, and Dark Cherry Red with Cherry wood. Does anyone have suggestions for me to make my place look fresh and airy with horrible white walls? interior design software??? i need a software that you can build your own house and then do the interior. since i dont have a software i use the sims 2 to build houses and decorate the inside. i've tried punch interior design suite but i didn't like how you had to put the furniture on the floorplan and not directly in the 3D picture. what software would be easy to use and under $100? also good quality?

Interior Design Help Please - Window Treatment needed!? The focal point of our home has a big design flaw! The windows/doors if you notice in the pictures follow a bay style - however the top windows the cement was poured straight (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/expatingreece/slideshow?.dir=/ad78scd&.src=ph). We were able to get windows installed and the aluminum conformed to follow the bay style and it works well. Now I need to think about window cover because the afternoon sun comes in and really heats up the house. We brought an awning/canvas guy and he wanted to install all this iron extending way beyond the window so that it can cover the sides where bay goes in. Many have said to put the window treatment on outside instead of inside to prevent the heat from entering into the house in the first place. I'm up for that but I really don't want anything too big that would distract from the look. No designs, frills, and I do like the light coming in without the heat... Any ideas??? thanks!
