Wall design and faux finishes need some creative ideas? I am a huge fan of Home and Garden but I personally lost my creative edge years ago. A friend of mine who is even less creative then me painted these really cute rabbits on her daughter's wall via overhead projector. She used a pencil to outline the fine detail and used craft paint. Ideas for Eco-home designs? In class I have to design an eco home. I want it to be underground/built into the hill. HOME DESIGN PROS -- I need your help!! How do you squeeze multiple needs into just 2 rooms?? Not sure how to set up a bigger playroom..... I work from home, so need the office set-up to be convenient and we rarely have guests, but I think I should keep the queen bed. The baby's room is very small (10x10) and other room twice as large (10x20)... should I squeeze the bed / desk into the small room and leave the large room for baby / play area as my main goal is to have a large space where the baby can spread out his toys now that he is growing (he is 1 now) Or do I keep the office on part of the large room and somehow divide the rest for baby (convenient b/c I can work while he plays -- but who wants computer equipment in the baby's room??!!) We are also planning to have anther baby sometime soon, so I giess if I make the large room just for baby, he will later share with the newborn -- is this a good idea??? This can't be so difficult, but I am having quite a time fitting the many needs (baby playroom, office, guestroom, new baby crib area in future) into two spaces

I'm trying to design a website for a good friend's construction company, Goodwill Builders (Slogan: "Building for you as we would build for us"). The guy that runs it believes very much in peace and spirituality. His company has been building portable buildings for the last 15 years, branching into custom homes in the last five years or so. (Pictures of their work can be found at their current site, www.goodwillbuilders.com, but be warned that the site design and layout is terrible. I did not design the monstrosity). The message I want to convey is the owner's philosophy (peace, forgiveness, happiness) but I don't want to lose the solidness of a construction company. I'm not very much concerned with accreditation as I live outside the US and I don't think I'll be looking for a job there as a decorator. I want a course that would be informative, fun and challanging while teaching me some worthwhile principles of interior decorating/design. a question for builders, plumbers, electricians, home builders etc...? we are currently designing our home and would really appreciate any ideas/suggestions/ALTERNATIVES when it comes to home designing. eg - keeping plumbing to one side of the house to cut plumbing costs, and using 'square setting' instead of architraves, not having skirting boards, painting the ourselves.
