Is LSU a good school for interior design?

I am wanting to go to LSU because that is were my boyfriend is at now and I was wondering if it is a good school for me. I want to go into interior design. Is it a competitive field?

1. It is decent there, but there are better schools, depending on your grades.
2. Hi Missy There are many places to learn techniques but nothing can educate you more than experience. Before you enroll, see If you can get involved with an ongoing project in some way such as work placement etc. You will learn a lot and will quickly find out if you have what it takes to survive in that environment, then you will know if you want to study further. Interior design is very competitive .. but I would say in general it is a more positive career choice for women rather than men. In my experience, when dealing with couples as clients, the man will generally oversee builders works etc while the wife / female partner, normaly has much more input on a projects finishes, fixtures & fittings etc. kitchens, bathrooms, in particular & choosing colours & the like. A woman teaming up with the female partner (girly girly) is far less threatening to the male partner than a man & in general weilds more influence over both the male & female client decisions. I know this sounds sort of sexist but in general that is the way things seem to be. goodluck!
