US Interior design?

Hi. I'm an italian woman and I'd like to furnish my new house in tipical american style. I've got a problem: I painted my kitchen and living room (these are just separed by a wall with a window); the space is big and sunny, we put on a white marble floor, white windows without rolling shutter, and th paint was made in hot yellow in this way: from the floor 90cm in yellow, then white, then yellow; the colors are separed by decorating plaster sticks;. The yellow is this one: http://www.spatulastuhhi.com/it/prodotti.php?Code=C%202%20ZC Now that it is applied, I dislike it...but I don't want to paint again 'cos I'm soon going to get married... the rest of this house (3 floors) is painted in gold,beige etc. How can I furnish this part of my house in a tipical elegant american way, even to repare the error of the paint? Metropolitan Home Magazine Traditional Home Magazine Country Living Magazine Architectural Digest Depending on your own style of American design you wish to achieve. There are many styles we use, Colonial, country, urban etc. It really depends on your own personal taste. These should give you some good ideas for U.S. styles. If these do not inspire you, I would find an interior designer in your area (try Google.com). The rates will vary from one designer to the next. But, well worth the money and time.
