What can I do with this space?

I'm moving into my new house in a month or so and I'm totally into interior design, but I need more ideas for this space! What colour floors [hardwood] should I look into? What colour furniture? Leather or fabrics? Furniture placement? Pictures and links would be greatly appreciated! What are some good brands... in Canada?

  1. In the living room if you like color you should paint the walls light bright blue or yellow and then accent with oranges and blues and yellows depending on what you like fabric couches would be good. in the kitchen you should try changing the wall colors to some sort of green or lighten it a bit. Try Putting a back splash in with some colors.
  2. For the living room, I wouldn't get 'overstuffed' furniture. It makes the room look too small. I'd get light colored hardwood floors. Furniture color and fabric would be up to what you like. I would prefer fabric, myself. I would reverse the t.v. stand and the couch, though, and have the t.v. stand on the wall next to the door. The kitchen looks nice the way it is. Everything seems to be in a convenient reach. Nice breakfast nook. I think I'd go with a round glass table and different chairs. Maybe a pewter color for the legs on the table and chairs. :) Congrats on your new house!
  3. First, hardwood would be nice throughout the whole house. this tone of hardwood is nice if you are going natural http://www.auburnflooring.com/RolandWood.JPG/RolandWood-full.jpg this tone is nice if you are going colorful http://www.steveshardwoodfloors.com/images/woodFloorLg.jpg wall paint for the kitchen should make you feel happy and hungry. red is supposed to make you hungry and want to eat ALOT!!! this is nice and would look really cool with cork flooring... http://www.housebeautiful.com/cm/housebeautiful/images/4-colorful-kitchen-kit0507-xlg.jpg cork flooring: http://www.bioshieldpaint.com/images/Cork_Tiles.jpg in the breakfast nook, you should do the same colors as the kitchen. now onto the living room. you should make it feel cozy. leather recliners are awesome and mabey a beige fabric couch. you could add a colorful rug or a nuetral rug.either way if you have nuetral furniture you can change the accessories throught the year!!! have fun!!!
  4. Beautiful...bet you can't wait to get in! I love the color in the kitchen. I would be sure to get a darket wood table than the one shown; something to match the cabinets or even black. I think I would replace the vertical blinds too. Maybe a woven pull up shade with a small valance for adding color. The living room paint color is fine, but needs some pizazz; you could paint just one wall a rich cinnamon shade. Window treatments should be light and airy.
