  1. Think of it this way, you are going to a clients house with 2 choices for color and design for each of the rooms specified, Lets say you have a kitchen in a modern design with a color scheme of black and white , steel and chrome and another kitchen design in Early American with blues and reds and wood tones. do this for each room. Two ways of picturing each of the rooms There should be a connection between the rooms and the colors, It doesnt mean they are all the same colors but they should flow into each other.
  2. You are to decorate the inside of a home that has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, etc. You will have to choose colors, fabrics, flooring, curtains, and everything else that goes into a home. A color scheme is simply the colors you have chosen to use -- maybe they would be monochromatic (meaning different shades of the same group of colors --example blue, blue green, blue violet, royal blue, navy blue, etc.) or autumn shades (browns, reds, organges, yellows, etc.) and bring them all together so that the house is nicely done. It's like matching your skirt and your shirt or your tie and your shirt. Maybe, you want to use a colonial design so you'd choose fabrics that would look colonial. Modern is usually associated with chrome, white, black and stark colors. Hope this helps.
  3. Color Scheme...it's basically your choice of colors that you have chosen to work with to design your room. You don't have to choose one scheme (or also put as theme). A scheme/theme is a pattern of sorts...are you going to use all Fall colors, like oranges and yellows and browns, or are you going to use Spring colors such as pastels. You can also choose different shades of one single color, or you can have a crazy combination of colors as long as it somehow ties in together. I'd assume the directions to mean that you would divide a poster board in half. Divide each half into 7 rooms (the ones you listed above). Title each half with a scheme (or theme) name....like if you do cold colors...icey blue, white, silver, grey for example, you could title it "'The Arctic." Then, choose pictures from a magazine that show the colors of different parts of the room you're going to decorate. Show an example of the walls, flooring, curtains or window covers, bedspread, and maybe a type of wood finish that the furniture would be. Be sure to give a brief description of each room under it...example: Master bedroom, done in icey tones. Walls and furniture Polar Bear white, tile flooring GrayIce, curtains Arctic blue, bedspread cool blue, white and silver patterns.
  4. here is good news if the teacher doesnt know than everybody will probably get a good grade. A color scheme is a bunch of colors that match one another. Just draw the inside of a room and include furniture. Also make sure all of it goes together and matches. hope this helps you!!
