Is there an Interior Design software that can do what I need?
We are moving into a new place soon, and decorating it can be a hassle if you don’t know where to start. I’m looking for some type of program where I can take pictures of my house, and put them in the software which can interface the room and objects (chairs, tables, pictures, rugs, etc). It could give me a 2-D or 3-D image of how the rooms were look if they were decorated. With so many types of software out there, I really don’t know if there is anything similar to what I want to do. I am running Windows Vista so hopefully any programs you guys give me, would work. I know WPF format is new to vista, so anything that ran off of that would be awesome too. If you know of anything that can come close to what I want to do, any information would be fantastic. Thanks.

- I use PUNCH! Home Design AS 3000. I work for a builder and you can draw 3d rooms, houses, interiors, exteriors, place and modify furniture, etc. WARNING: despite what the Punch! people say, it is NOT fully compatible with Vista.
- heres a link to a trial version of one: It may not have all the capabilities of a full version but at least it will get u started on your project Good Luck http://www.download.com/Punch-Professional-Home-Design-Platinum-Suite/3000-6677_4-10392674.html?tag=lst-0-5
- There is Broderbund Home Design. If you know how to use the program, you can design pretty much any house you like, any size. If you want to see some screenshots of what this program can do, e-mail me at speedypeed@yahoo.ca and I'll send you a couple of screenshots of a dream home project I did in Business Ed in school. I also have Google SketchUp, and it's a free program. I haven't got around to fooling around with it yet. I'm sure it's a good program as well. The link for the Windows XP free version is here> http://sketchup.google.com/thankyou_win.html Check it out if you want. I'm sure you'll find something.
