Peg board, shelves, cabinets. Any good pictures of a normal organized garage not overboard in $$$ ?

  1. I am thinking pink, red, orange get original get the cheapest and best interior decoraters in your town
  2. How about Victorian?
  3. The best place to purchase inexpensive garage organization is The Home Depot. They have assemble yourself wardrobes, peg board, shelves, you name it! They have a few different companies like Mill's Pride (expensive, but thicker 3/4" malimine), WorkForce, etc.... The usually have fliers you can take home with dimesions and design ideas. Once you decide what you want, you can assemble the list and pay for the products, put it on will call and have any handy man pick it up and assemble it. A good handy man would love a job like this. Make sure he is licensed or you know him well.
  4. We just did this & did purchase organizers from The Depot, but it's not necessary. Group your garage items in categories that you use. Ours are: Animal supplies, canning equipment, car stuff (oil, washing, etc.), sports equipment (Football, golf clubs, balls), gardening & lawn maintenance, camping/fishing/dive gear, tools & workbench. Use tall shelves or cabinets to store each category & run them around the outside walls of the garage. For large items, go up! Our canoe is suspended from the ceiling on pulleys. You can use sheets of plywood hung from the ceiling on chains to store Christmas trees, sporting equipment, whatever. Just drill holes in corners of plywood, insert S hook in each hole, hook chain through the top of the S hook & attach to hook you've installed in the garage ceiling. Be sure to use a reinforced hook there - extra-strong toggle. We also took the time to epoxy the floor (boy - were we surprised when we read the small print & had to leave everything out of there for several days while it cured!) & paint the walls. Now, when people visit, we entertain them in the garage. Nicest room in the house!!
