interior design software???

i need a software that you can build your own house and then do the interior. since i dont have a software i use the sims 2 to build houses and decorate the inside. i've tried punch interior design suite but i didn't like how you had to put the furniture on the floorplan and not directly in the 3D picture. what software would be easy to use and under $100? also good quality?

1. Try Google Sketchup, it's very easy, free, fast and light on resources. After watching 2 short video tutorials i build our house in a few hours ( i'm no expert). Also there is a 3d warehouse where you can download all kind of pre build models like buildings, furniture, trees, textures and much more. There are also free plugins to im- export your model to professional renderers for a more photorealistic effect.
