2. Landscape refers to gardens, yards, or other areas of greens/plants that are part of a house, building, or public area like a park. When you go to a park, the trees, play areas, grass, and flowers/plants are purposelly placed where they are; or roads and other articial objects have been placed around them to form a landscape. "Design" has to do with aesthetics. Landscape design looks at how to design a landscape (made up of trees, fountains, bushes, stones, etc.) so that it's aesthetically-pleasing to the intended audience.
