I need home & Landscape designs, can any one help me to get designs best siuted for Hilly area?

Want to Layout the Garden in front of my old Home & want to change or renovate the same

1. Get a garden book suitable for your area. I'm in No. California, so I use The Sunset Western Garden Book. Planted my whole yard using its info.
2. Depending on how much space your have in your front yard will determine what you put in there. You can always stepp your front yard if you have a long way down to the sidewalk. The most important thing to remember is that you will need plenty of ground cover or plants and trees that have an extensive root system to keep the soil from eroding and your front yard hill from falling in the winter rain. Your best bet is to go to a yard store and have the measurments of your yard and possible pictures to show and have them give you classes and/or advise on your next step. 3. It's always best to use native plants so check with your university's department of horticulture or local nursery. They should be able to give you several choices based on specific conditions. I like to use ground covers for hilly areas because they help reduce soil erosion, inhibit weeds, and are low maintenance.
