Looking to find a really good, well designed and challenging PC game like a CSI or Law & Order. Any ideas?

I have looked on line at some of the reviews of the CSI games and those people didn't find the games very challenging. Some found them boring or slow moving. Does anyone know of games of this type (they do not HAVE to be CSI or Law & Order but I do enjoy that type of investigative game). Also it doesn't have to be an online game, free or not. If you know of some on line that's great. I am also looking for something to buy from the store and bring home. I have a birthday coming up and my hubby will be wanting to know something to get me. Aside from Taylor Hick's new CD, I am going to ask for some fun games that I can obsess on at night after the kids go to sleep. I've done the things like Max Payne...and Myst...which I liked Max Payne but got bored with Myst. My other concern was about the replayability. I want to be able to play with this over and over. Many cases, ordifferent scenarios that can change the outcomes or whatever. Hate games that are one dimensional. KWIM

  1. Although I've never played it I've heard many good things about Phoenix Wright which is supposedly a lawyer game of some sort. Perhaps you should look into that.
  2. I played, and loved, the Desperate Housewives game. You have to go around the neighborhood figuring out different problems for each of the neighbors. Coll thing about this game is that the replayability is so there. Each response you make to a character redesignes the ending of the game, therefore there are a few different ways to play the game and a few different endings.
