What is the best INTERIOR DESIGN magazine for my 28 year old wife?
She is too modern for a "Better Homes & Gardens" but still too midwest to go full on sheik, comtemporary unbanite style. Any suggestions? Also looking for books if you know of good ones.

- Architectural Digest and there is even a magazine called Interior Design. The local bookstore will have those plus hard copy books.

- Well, I use these types of magazines all the time in my work and by far, these are my 2 favorites: Style at Home Canadian House & Home Here's why I like them: - they aren't chock full of ads - they are affordable - they are up-to-date - they don't give you the impression that what's in them is out of your reach I also like Better Homes & Gardens, BUT ONLY THE SPECIAL PUBLICATIONS, as the magazine itself is just tooooo country for my blood. Here are some links to give you an idea: http://www.styleathome.com/StyleAtHome/client/en/today/home.asp http://www.houseandhome.com/ So, hope this helps... One of my favorite gifts to get is a subscription to a decorating magazine. In fact, I've been getting the above 2 magazines as a Christmas gift every year for the past 6 years.... a gift from me to me! Happy Holidays!
- Definitely check out "Domino." It's got a lot of young, hip & trendy ideas without going way over the top (like "Dwell" - that one is ultra modern). http://www.dominomag.com/ I also like "Home," Oprah's "O At Home," and "Real Simple." Also "Women's Day" has a slew of special interest publications like "Budget Decorating," "Kitchens & Baths," and "Remodeling & Makeovers" that have some good ideas. http://www.pointclickhome.com/home http://www.oprah.com/presents/oathome/oathome_landing.jhtml http://www.realsimple.com/realsimple/homepage/flash/0,23022,,00.shtml?origref=http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=real+simple
