Go someplace that carries a big selection of magazines. There usually soft cover books of house plans.... As for working plans with materials lists, etc. you won't find those free. You will have to purchase a working set of blueprints (several) for the different contractors & materials lists, etc. But you can find different "PLANS" books or I guess even websites. Or, do what my husband & I did, we sat down with graph paper & designed our own. Then we took them to the architect to draw up all legal like.... Good Luck & have fun with it. You can even take the plans that you like from the books or ? & design one you like, or change things about it you want or don't want.
Your local public library should have dozens of books that have thousands of plans.
I don't recommend "free architecture plans." You can buy inexpensive architecture plans from reputable sources -- but, free, I don't think so! You want to be able to rely on the quality and accuracy of the plans. A house is too important for "free."
