What are the steps involved in drawing plans and creating an architectural scale model of a house?

I have to do a project for school, and I'm doing mine on a career in architecture. I have to have a product or this presentation, and I wanted to design basic home plans and build a small scale model. Help?

1. i guess you have to know how big you want you model and which scale to use and make sure everything comes out proportionate and stuff. ive seen a model made on wood. like they drew where all the rooms would go and things like that good luck
