- I think sugar gliders are great pets, but they can smell. Hedgehogs are also good, pretty easy to take care of, but they don't do much. http://www.glidercentral.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm http://www.hedgehogcentral.com/
- You definitely need a Peruvian Rose Hair Tarantula. They live in a cage, are furry, quiet, clean, inexpensive both to buy usually around $15 to $20 for the Rose Hair, inexpensive to feed usually less then a dollar a week, interesting, females can grow to 12 inches across over 30 years time span, conversation pieces, feel neat walking on your hand or up your arms, and while they have venom it is like a wasp sting. Only draw back is that they are fragile and dropping them from more then three feet could be fatal.
- a hamster or chinchillia or gerbil
- Well, all animals have an odor. Whether that odor be strong or mild, they still have it. So, if you want a pet that is odor-less, get a pet rock. Otherwise, try one of these: (I ranked these in order of what I consider to make the best pets, although I have no experience with frogs or lizards.) 1. Rats 2. Ferrets 3. Guinea Pigs 4. Rabbits 5. Gerbil 6. Hamster (Syrian or Dwarf) 7. Flying Squirrel 8. Turtles 9. Frogs 10. Salamanders/Geckos/Lizards
- It sounds like you already know quite a bit about caring for animals. The 'stink-free' may be a problem though. No matter how often you clean a cage, animal urine is stinky. Rats make really good pets, they are more sociable than mice and easier to handle, but then again there is that stink factor. Rabbits are fury, and come in so many colors and sizes! Personally, I love cockatiels! They are very social birds, big enough to handle yet not as big, messy and expensive as exotic parrots. They do create a lot of dust, but they are sooooo personable! Some learn to say a lot of words, they will imitate birds they hear outside and mine could do the whistle theme song from the Andy Griffith show! One of my birds would follow the dog around all day! He would sometimes perch himself on the dog's head and take a nap. Good luck and I hope you enjoy whichever type of animal you add to your household!
