My question awhile ago if i can use running water to cool my split type condenser?
my house is at a river bank, can i use the river to cool my condenser instead of fan to save electricity. I plan to just submerge my condenser in the river. Do it will work?

- I guess it would work but why and how?? The great majority of the electric used in an A/C is the refrigerant pump. The fan motor is minor compared to that. And you certainly can't put the pump in the water.
- Yes you can, and it would be more efficient, until it clogged up with debris and silt.
