im taking a new pet into my home and looking for ideas/information can anyone help?

someone resently asked if i wanted a blu and gold mcaw male he's 5 yrs old and she cant keep him so shes giving to a good home for free,so i'm gona take him.this bird has been from her house to her sisters and when i get him im sure he'll be a bit frazzled yet another home.and i have a 2yr old blue gold male mcaw.i plan to keep them seperate for while and introduce slowly from a distance if thats how i should i'm unsure if two males would get along or if i can teach them to get along,and whats a good way to help new bird be comfortable and at ease.and whats a good way to try to bond with a stressed possably depresed bird?does anyone have any usefull info or know any free sites i can get info on having 2 mcaws together and ease a stressed bird.poor birdie i hope to help and get along with this bird and give him a long happy life,any info apreciated thanks.

1. when you get him home keep seperate from other one.upon introducing them to each other keep cages well apart then slowly move them closer together.keep doing what you were doing with other bird so he doesnt feel he is left out because of new bird.then he may never take to new bird.give new one time to adjust to his new surroundings.
