bungalow home?

im planning to buy a house. it has a good price but its mostly wood and im concerned if it is hard to maintain or if it is sturdy enough of a house. thank you.

  1. You really need to give more information to get the answer, since there are so many variables. I would suggest you get a home inspector to check it out for you. Perhaps that would give you a better idea of what to expect in terms of potential repairs.
  2. Before you buy any house, i would have it looked at buy a house inspector. Find one the has done alot of houses and is a good one. Ask him to look at the wood for terminite damage and water damage while he is doing his regulat inspection. Terminites and moisture will create havok on a wood house and make them worthless over time. A home inspector should be your first call when buying or renting, it is worth every penny.
  3. get an inspection second consider the weather where located excessive rainfall snowfall in area can really increase maintenance but ill tell you up front wood has been the primary staple in construction since man moved out of caves its all based on area local codes and how good a job the builder and designer did addressing these issues
