Hesitations to Make Move to Vegas justified? PLEASE ONLY VEGAS or X VEGAS RESIDENTS REPLY...THANKS!!!!!?

Having lived almost all my life in the US, Michigan, now planning on moving back from Egypt withen a year. My three final considersions are Portland(but some say not easy to make good friends), Seattle(perhaps to close too DC therefore maybe bias twoard peacefull Muslims) but most atracted to Vegas. The reasons are basicly, full of shops and entertainment, good economy for new small businesses, not too frigid, and a relitivly safe enviorment for a big city. Las Vegas realy stands out becuase of the very affordable unique and butifull luxury housing and appartments with breath taking views and pools. And certainly the overall cost of living with tax free insentives. My questions, my concearns about Vegas are the following: 1/ I am one of the vast majority of Muslims who do NOT support terrorist activity, despite the media not allways making their oppinions public. So is Las Vegas a non friendly enviorment for an Arab Muslim? 2/ Do many get burned out in Vegas? THANKS!!!!!

  1. I lived in Vegas. I liked it. It is much more of an ethnic melting pot than Portland. Keep your options open and if it doesn't work out well, then California and Arizona are nearby to move to.
  2. First of all, Seattle is on the opposite coast of Wahington D.C. If you went to school at all in this country, I am surprised that you don't know that. Now, you talk about Vegas being "safe". I suppose it is safer than some U.S. cities, but how seriously do you take your religion? I would say that spiritually Vegas is one of the worst cities to live in. I have lived in many cities and the three most morally repulsive ones I have experienced are Hollywood, New Orleans, and Las Vegas. And many people do burn out fast in Vegas.
