We have just come back from a 4 night break and all I can say is I will never go again. They sent me an A5 landscape brochure for Minehead itself which contains a photo of some appartments which look really nice. On the photo it says "Typical accomodation". Isn't it misrepresentation that these appartments were not even at the location. How can they get away with it. The "gold" appartments look like really bad council housing and need demolishing. Oh and if you are planning a break where you may have late nights, for God's sake go somewhere else cos the seagulls wake you up at dawn. People throw food out of the windows and so it's no wonder the birds see the place as a massive feeding ground. They were so loud, I couldn't bear it and left a day early. Butlins should not be allowed to use words, like "gold", "spacious" and "luxury" when they obviously have no concept of what they mean. Also, I cannot believe they allow smoking in the main pavilion. It really is the pits.
