HELP! Please answer this question! Story plot?!? Everyone and anyone answer me pls!!!!?

I really want to write a book and i was just wondering if you thought if this plot is a good idea or if you think i have potential to be a author? I am 13 by the way. Meet Claire Von Johnson a beautiful "A-List" girl who has everything. Model looks, a huge house , the latest things, and tons of money. With out a doubt, this beverly hill, girl is pretty much what every teen want to be. Summers out and Claire is estatic to find out that the whole family is going on a luxury vacation to Tahiti. However, when she thinks nothing bad can happen she learns the truth. A terrible plan crash occurs resulting in her parents death. Alone and miserable, will Claire find someone who will help her through this? Is claire going to be able to handle this long summer of hate, love, despair, riches and possibly murder? Well thats all i have , its going to be better just cant write everything down. Please excuse ALL spelling mistakes!!Thanks! well let me explain..i didnt know whole family couldn't mean three people..Anyway the parents are in the end really murdered..i think i want it to be that the father owed the piolet some money and took advantage of him so he killed him. Also claire is 15. She meets a young girl and she is invited to stay with them...There is more to it..i just wrote like wat would be on the back of a book...and the spell check isnt working so i wrote excuse spelling mistakes to be polite!!

  1. sorry what actually happens aftr her parents die? does she jst cry a bit and find some bad yet gorgeous guy to cry on? can u explain more? it sounds like u dnt have much idea after the bit about a terrifyingly perfect girl...
  2. You need to answer some fundamental questions about the plot - and maybe you alerady have. Who gets custody of the girl, since she is a minor? How does this affect her emotionally, physically, etc? Why is she lonely just for the summer? How is it she is able to move on in her life? I think it is a good start, but you need to take the plot and psychology of the story to a higher level, dig a little deeper. In my experience, most young writers are too impatient. I know I was. Slow it down, think things through, and watch the quality of your writing improve. Analyze your character more, get to know her on a deeper level. Does this loss work to expose some flaws she always had, but before was able to keep hidden? Good luck with your writing.
  3. Interesting...You ask if you have potential to be a writer, then you say, "Please excuse all spelling mistakes." Not good. Several questions regarding the plot? Is Claire on the same plane as her parents? If so, how badly is she injured? If not, why? You mention murder...her parents? Who are the suspects and why? Why would she be alone? You mention that the "whole" family is going on vacation...so we assume she isn't an only child? Doesn't she have friends? You are 13...how old is Claire? Writing is hard work. You have to be able to have your work critiqued without getting your feelings hurt. Maybe you could enlist the help of your favorite English teacher. Anyway, if writing is your passion, work hard and don't give up. Good luck!! ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: If your main character is 15, the murder plot may be a bit heavy for this age group. Writing about death is difficult even for the most seasoned writer. Maybe you could introduce a murder attempt into your plot...have Claire deal with the potential of losing her parents. That alone could impact her and ultimately change the way she is.
