interior design of soundproof materials?

The soundproof materials have a lot of interior designs that help to reduce the sound, so can someone provide me some of the picture of these designs and explain the purpose of this designs, how this design can help to soundproof the room, thanks very much for the help.

2. dont know what ur application entails for...but i sound proofed a microphone booth..and i bought 24''x24'' squares of foamlike material...each square has multiple steps persay...the foam is cut not in horizontal triangles but more like horizontal steps....has something to do with the accoustics of ur voice and drownds out noise from outside the booth...hope that helped
3. cardboard egg trays adhered to the wall behind drapes works wonders to soundproofing a room. the more solid the wall, the more echo you get... concrete bounces sound more than wood. wood bounces sound more than cloth.
