- The most spacious and economically viable shape in architecture is a cuboid (square base) this is because it utilises all available space without becoming wider, and therefore weaker, the further it gets from its foundations.
- It all depends upon functional constraints, materials choices or limitations, economical considerations, budget, socio-economic and other environmental considerations. Cuboid, rectangular, hemi-spherical or spherical, pyramidal, Conical, Hexagonal or Octagonal base, Earth quake proof buildings have to be resilient not necessarily very strong. The one who survives, gives in a little like a palm tree near the ocean in the face of a storm.
