HOME BUSINESS: Should I have my seamstress work in my home office?

Is it smart/wise to buy my sewing equipment and have my seamstress work from my home rather than have her take my fabric and etc and create my designs from her house? In my opinion that just seems so risky because I have not established a trustworthy business relationship with her yet. HELP!!!!!
