Architectural or Mechanical Engineering Possibilities?
Will i be able to get into a good architectural or mechanical engineering school with a 3.05 gpa but i haven't taken my sats yet which i plan on getting at least 650 on the math and 550 on the english/writing? If i can get into a good school which do i have a better success rate in starting my own mechanical engineering company building something or architectural engineering company designing custom homes for rich people

- Generally, first year engineering is a "general" year. You don't take any courses that are specific to a certain kind of engineering, but rather a bunch of generic calculus and physics courses that are meant to get everyone on the same page/level. It not until second year that you are able to get into a specific area. In others words, you just need a grade high enough to get into engineering. Then, its your marks in first year engineering that say what programs you would be able to get into. If you were able to hold a 3.05, i believe that's enough to get into either of those areas but it really depends on the year and what school you go to.
