If i can get into a good school which do i have a better success rate in starting my own mechanical engineering company building something or architectural engineering company designing custom homes for rich people

- well when you get to college you will explore liberal arts your first year. There just regular math, science, etc. classes. You will begin to mature and find something you have a passion for and love doing. Don't just go for the high paying jobs. If you going to work in an industry for 40 years you should have some pride and enjoy what you do. Then a large percentage of people will come out with a degree in something and work in a non related field. As far as the mechanical engineering and architectural engineering - just understand you will be doing a lot of math. So make sure you enjoy challenges as well. Those programs are different from lets say business economics. This is not everyone can be an architectural but in the business field you can pick up a niche pretty quick. So learn the jargon of the field, network with people who are successful in your industry and good luck.
