Wedding Dress Website?

What's the best free way to advertise my business? I get wedding dresses made for people, custom made and we either copy a picture they send us or help them design something. Its just a small home run business but the quality is flawless. i just don't know how to get the name out there without spending more than i have as i'm planning my own wedding at the same time. Answer to the question about putting more than one dres together we can do anything people ask for. We do all types of dresses people as for, we have a website that explains everything, i don't htink i can post it on here though. We made a dress where we used the top of one dress on the bottom of another, you can also add straps, different beading, colours...anything!! You can email me if you want to know any more. :)

  1. Advertise on www.Craigslist.com. It doesn't cost to place an ad in the classified section. You can also google wedding advertising and see if there are any free wedding websites to place you ad. Check with local wedding vendors in your area also. They may be willing to refer your business in exchange for a referral of their own.
  2. Craigslist is a good site to adversities on, so is Myspace.com. They are both free and having your own myspace is like having your own website and you can invite friends and the more friends you have the more people will see your website.
  3. I second the craigslist suggestion. Also, make a myspace for your business, and join wedding groups. I know, it sounds silly. Also, I have a question about the custom dresses; could you take the skirt from one dress, and the bodice of another to make a gown? Likewise, could make a "This dress, but with..." custom design. For example, if I sent pictures of a dress I wanted it would be "This dress, but with a square neck and small sleeves instead of strapless." I have a huge scar on my shoulder and down a very little bit of my arm from a severe burn, and finding sweaters to match my formal wear is becoming tiring.
  4. Etsy (hand made and custom made products) has a large wedding section: http://www.etsy.com/category_top.php?top_tag=weddings You can set up an Etsy shoo and post your services there with photos of dresses you've made.
