I am thinking of building my own home. Do Lego's insulate well? Or would I need a layer of Lincoln Logs too?
I am sick of my brick ranch style home. I havent told my wife yet, but I just bought a plot of land about 5 miles away from our house, and I plan on constructing a 4 bedroom home out of Lego's. Does anyone know how well Lego's will insulate my home? Do you think it would be wise to layer the outside of the home with Lincoln Logs? Also, I havent done the pricing (and money is no issue), but how much do you think it would cost for the Lego's and Lincoln Logs? Any other suggestions?

- they would work fine as long as you use those Erector sets to stabilize them.
- those will work just fine, but you know you can't do anything with Lego's or Lincoln Log's without using any Tinker Toys!
- Definitely the Legos. They lock together making an airtight seal. With Lincoln Logs you're going to have a lot of gaps that let in the cold.
- I have no idea if they insulate well, or how much it would cost. Fantastic idea, though...especially in this crunch. Personally, all I can afford right now is frozen water. That is why I am in the process of building an igloo, it shall be marvy, and I've gotten lots of 'mommy' points with the kids...
