House Plan to Scale?

Hi, I'm wanting to know if there are any programs I could download for free, that will help me draw a house plan to scale. Nothing fancy, I just want to do a birds eye view and get the sizing right. Must be easy to use to. Any help much appretiated. Cheers.

1. There are a couple of applications out there, but I am not sure if there's any free program. AutoCAD, for example can do the trick, only you need to be oriented first on some basics.It's just a plan view, right?so you just want to view 2D. If you want, I can do it for you for free. :-)
2. u can always sort-of draw it out on paper i know i did that one time back in school but when u do this it is a lot of thinking and math work and u dont have to be a good drawer u need a good paper to do ur line drawing and a ruler
