What Questions do Architects and Designers ask to a client ?
I am a student in an Architectural Design class and we have a project to contact with a client and ask em Questions that need to be asked to a client which would help in providng the informations to plan the client's house??both quantititive and qualititive Questions I would Appreciate it so much thanks in advance :)

- There's no easy answer for this one since you have to ask them everything under the sun since everyone is different. As an architect you can't make assumptions to how your client will use their home. Your job is to have a clear understanding of the owner's vocabulary, the house needs to be defined by them through your interpretation. In other words, if a client tells you he wants a high ceiling, what is "high"? Your job is to establish all descriptions as seen through the eyes of your client. You also will need to formulate the same question in different format to double check if the client was consistent with their answers. Since every client is different you need to feel your way through it and really look unprofessional to read through a list. Part of the interview process is also to read the client's facial expression and body language. Sometimes, they would like to stay away from too personal of questions until much later in the design process.
