what is the difference between architecture and architectural engineering?
I like to design buildings.which one should i chose az my major?

- you can also throw civil engineering in there if u like the feild, thats just another major that is related ^_^
- Architecture = making buildings that look pretty Architectural engineering = making buildings that look pretty without having to fight with an engineer who says that will fall down because you knew better than to design something that wouldn't work structurally In short, the engineering variety would be more of a hybrid field between form and function, whereas architecture is more about form. I'd recommend either ArchE or perhaps just a structural emphasis in civil engineering if you want to design buildings, although I'm probably biased as an engineer. :)
- Architecture is more about building design, mix of art and technical aspects. Architectural Engineering is more about the technical aspects of architecture and it's functionality.
