Architectural Designs

What's the difference between a bachelor in architecture (bachelor of science) and a bachelor of design?

i just scored enough on my sat to get the 75 percent brights future, which completely changed my plans. So now im having trouble fininding a university in florida that offers an architectural program. UF has a preogram but they offer a Bachelors in design.

  1. Just guessing, but I would say the difference is that a Bachelor of Architecture is a "real" science and engineering degree that will qualify you to design buildings whereas the Bachelor of Design is an arts degree that will only qualify you to decorate them. Big difference.
  2. No difference, both are non professional degrees which means after graduation, you are not qualified to take the Architectural Registration Exams in most States. In order for you to meet the minimum qualifications, you will have to get a Masters in Architecture (MArch), another two years of education.
