Architectural Designs

Why was my ucas application 'unsuccessful'?

Im on my last year of doing my HND in Building studies- Architectural Design at greenwich uni. The course is run by greenwich uni.. They are suppose to accept a HND as entry into the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a degree such as architecture, construction etc. But for somereason on my ucas application, it has been unsuccessful, even though the HND is run by the same uni, that hasnt accepted me an offer.. why is this? I am predicted to get a Merit for this year.. I have got a Merit for the 1st year.. also I have good gcse's results A-D and got alevels D-E results .. Why did I get an unsuccessful for a BA in architecture?

  1. I would highly suggest working on you writing ability (as it seems to be lacking). A candidate that has less going for them but can communicate it well has a better chance that a good candidate that can not communicate well.
  2. maybe they made a mistake....?
  3. Speak directly to someone at Greenwich. Find out why they did not accept your application. Perhaps, as one poster suggested, it was a mistake. Perhaps there were other factors involved. We can't tell you, but they can. At a minimum, you can learn what you need to do to make your chances of a successful application go up next time. You may also want to consider applying to some additional universities.
