How can I start a small Log Home Building Business?

I live in Michigan and I was wondering what I would have to do in order to legally start my own family owned and ran Log Home building and designing business. I have taken High school Architecture classes, and I plan on continuing my education in it while the business grows. Also my family and I are exceptionally skilled in building and designing, so no concern there. We just have no idea where to start.
