Interior Design Question- Color and Scheme of a Teenage Girl's Bedroom...?

When we moved into our new house I was eleven years old and painted the room a light, lime green color. Now 5 years later, my parents are generously offering to buy me a new bedroom set. I have chosen a shabby-chic/French country theme with white painted wooden furniture and a classic metal bed (please see links below for pictures). I want to do the color scheme for my new room in blues, grays, and golden khaki hues. So here is the problem, we are planning to move in the summer so I would get to paint my new room whatever color I want, but for now my old room is still green. How can I make the lime walls work with blue/gray/gold/khaki curtains and a bedspread? I have not bought anything yet so would you please leave links for quality curtains, pillows, and duvet covers or bedspreads? I would like to keep the bedding under $150 and the curtains relatively low cost too. Thank you so much for your time and help! Here are some pictures of the theme I am working with: http://www.decor-medley.com/image-files/french-country-decor-furniture-bedroom.jpg http://www.antique-pine.net/chateau.JPG http://www.thefurniture.com/store/images/Liberty/Bedrooms/LF-502-W-BR-SET.jpg Danielle

  1. I think both gray and khaki would work with your lime green walls - your biggest conflict would be the with the blue (depending on the shade you use). Could you use the blue as an accent color, and only add it after you move? Domestications is a great place for basic bed linens, and they're fairly inexpensive. I love their sleepy tees stuff - its incredible comfortable: http://www.domestications.com/Products/Comforters+and+Sets/Sleepy+Tees+Cotton+Knit+Bedding/10000/10209/D346350Bx/R/10572D_E_10
