Is there a free program i can access to turn house plans into 3D?

I am building my first house and have been given the plans but would love to see what it looks like in 3D. We are unable to go to a display home as we have altered the plans significantly. Any advice would be fantastic! Thanks in advance.

1. Google SketchUp, you'll love it! Planned my bathroom in it with millimetre accuracy. Scanned in pics of the tiles I wanted to use, and saw them in 3D to see how it would look - perfect and free!
