  1. A HND is a Vocational Qualification which is equivialant to a Degree Level Qualification, this should open many doors for your regarding interviews etc.. Just remember the qualification doesnt guarantee anybody a job. So just because you have a degree or equivalent doesn't necessarily mean you Will get a / The Job. Hope this is of use! Good Luck!
  2. If you have a particular career or type of firm in mind, the best thing to do is to contact them and ask if you have a chat. Many firms are more than happy to speak to people about best ways into the profession and you may even get some work experience through them that will help when you come to look for jobs. If you haven't seen it already, check out the following web page: http://www.prospects.ac.uk/cms/ShowPage/Home_page/Your_HND____what_next_/Choices_with_an_HND/p!ebecLa It talks about what choices are available after HND and has some good work experience links too.
