Do you feel that buildings and houses in Canada are well-constructed in terms of energy conservation?

Without people resorting to more extreme measures such as solar heating or nuclear energy, could more be done to make houses and office building more energy-efficient? I am thinking in terms of considerations such as choices in building materials, structure and design of buildings, amount and type of insulation and lighting.

  1. no, but if people knew what they could do to save energy they be much better off
  2. Compared to buildings and houses in the Southern US states, yes... I was appalled by the poor construction in general when I transfered state-side from Canada but the bedrooms are larger then what would be found in Canada.
  3. Normally I do not write very often but I just want to say that I would like to observe this query replied to well.
  4. This same query was posed only yesterday, didn't you observe it?
