Architectural Designs

Question on career opportunity?

Hi, I am an electronics and Communication Engineer and I have 5 years of experience in the IT industry. I was working for a MNC in Chennai. I recently quit my job because I want to pursue my passion. My passion is creating 2D/3D designs for architectural projects. I want to work as a full time draftsman (if Im lucky to get a job) or as a freelancer. I guess I need to learn AutoCAD. Are there different versions of this software? If so, which version should I get trained in? Kindly let me know what software I need to learn in addition to AutoCAD. Thanks, Shreedhar

  1. Well obviously these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26x%3D0%26ref%255F%3Dnb%255Fss%255Fgw%26y%3D0%26field-keywords%3Dautocad%26url%3Dsearch-alias%253Daps&tag=clogui-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957 And while you're there you might want to look for autodesk aswell. I don't think you'll need to be trained by someone else, a book or other tutorial should do - get one along with it.
