Need guide to construct Green Home in tropical climate.?

In my country, the climate is very humid and very warm all year long. I haven't been able to find real solution to Green Homes for this kind of climate and in 5 years time, i'm thinking of building my own house. Can anyone point out where i can find resources (information and physical material) for Green Home design specifically for tropical climate? I do have some ideas, but still need some pointers on application: 1. Dessicant dehumidifier. 2. Passive ventilation (i'm thinking of utilizing differential pressure like burrows). 3. Solar Panel (equatorial countries benefit greatly from this) 4. Vertical wind turbine (where can i get it in Malaysia?) etc...

  1. ok.
  2. Here's a cool Costa Rican site that might help, the 2nd site has huge resources. Good Luck!
  3. Check out the websites listed below: www.goeggsystems.com www.geothermalexperts.net This company is the Southeast premier geothermal heating and cooling contractor. Egg Geothermal Heating and Cooling uses the Earth's constant temperature to achieve EER's (Energy Efficiency Ratings) in the 30's. The heating COP (Coefficient of Performance) is approaching 5. A 5 COP indicates that the Egg Geothermal Systems are producing 5 units of energy for every unit of electricity consumed. The other 4 come from the Earth. That's why this technology is called "renewable".
