What are good, small house plants?

I have 2 small. . . .maybe 8 inch pots, that are really cool - tropical with monkees on them. I would like to plan something in them that will grow indoors, looks cool and well do well for a long time in pots this small. Any recommendations?

1. Spider plants are cool, so are cactus they dont required much and they are easy to maintain
2. Sanseveria is a great indoor plant that stays small. So is pothos.
3. My favourite small houseplants: Dwarf fittonia Small orchids Cactus gardens Herbs eg. basil Begonia Bromeliad Kalanchoe I own all of these plants and none is hard to care for.
