Need help with interior design, what will I.....?

....do with my living room? I've got a fair idea, I've just bought a black art deco style sofa, I would like to go with the art deco style, I want to keep my cream curtains as they're expensive, but what colour can I do the walls and do I buy a patterned wallpaper on all walls/one wall, or no patterned paper at all, and I have white skirtings and a white fireplace with white marble. Any suggestions much appreciated.

  1. I would go with just a white because a black sofa and cream curtains would with a white wall will make your room look more open and modern and plus refereshed for you if not, you can paint it cream, tan or beige up to you. If you want you could do a wallpaper like on on wall the one behind the sofa you can add a black flower wallpaper with a white background and then have a black long vase with just white fake flowers in it or real;) up to you and then you can also add a cream rug under your table if you have one in front of your sofa, this will make your room cozy and relaxed.
  2. I would keep the walls white. If you are looking for some kind of pattern to mix it up a bit, get a picture for the walls. This way, you can move it around, take it down, or whatever so you are not committed into something that will take forever fixing. You can try Etsy.com. They have loads of art, paintings, pics, and all that. You will probably find something on there to make your room awesome!
  3. Any bold color would make a great backdrop to the crisp black & white with cream drapes. Think robins egg blue or lime green, even hot pink.
