Green Technology, Questions about wind turbines?

For my science class i need to design a school with "green technology" and i need to explain why wind turbines are a more responsible alternative than traditional building practices..

1. What exactly is your question? "I need to explain why wind turbines are more responsible alternative than traditional building practices" ?? You use Wind Turbines to generate electricity. They are better (aside from things like bird strike and land requirements) than traditional methods because it doesn't require coal/oil/nuclear fusion to run.
2. to complete namibnat answer wind turbine produced 10 time less power then hydro power, (in Quebec a wind turbine create 1,33 MW, hydro produce 333MW per turbine)
3. Actually, depending on where the school is built, wind turbines would be a waste of time, space, and money. If the school is in a place with low average wind speeds and long periods of time with no wind than a wind turbine would be a piece of decoration. Solar panels would help but would also need batteries to store the energy when there is not enough sun light to produce electricity. That is why wind power and solar power can never be the primary sources of energy since both have limitations. Hydro power is a better form of green energy but we have in the United State have as much hydro power as possible without causing more environmental damage. The best green energy source would be nuclear power since you can create electricity 24/7.
