Colour matching for my bedroom. Interior design suggestions?

I'm buying two large desks for my bedroom, and need some colour suggestions. They're from Ikea, so I can modify quite extensively, in terms of colour and textures. Additional Details- Walls: White brick Carpet: Charcoal My windows are floor-to-ceiling, with those wooden japanese like shades. Ample natural light. I was thinking of using a wooden top for the larger desk, to match with the shades. For the smaller, but still quite large desk (drawing board), I'm thinking of leaving it white, to match the walls. What's your opinion, keeping in mind, the carpet is practically black? Thanks Pinky

  1. The wooden top for the larger desk is a good idea. But I think you should do the same thing for the drawing board especially if the room is very large. All the white on the walls will make the drawing board just blend in to the walls so it won't look good. Cover both desks entirely with the wood so you can't see the white. OR Keep both desks the way they are and paint the walls tan.
