Architectural Designs

Architecture & Interior Design majors?

I've been an architect student for 2 years now. But I now realized I have more of an interest pursuing a career just in interior architecture & design. I know you can get a job as an interior designer with an architecture degree, but will I be more qualified for the position with an architectural degree or an interior design degree?

1. MOst architects that I know that want to be more interior designers, go through the addition ID programs (or at least take the important courses) as you will learn more about space planning, usage of the space, color theories, materials etc. People hiring for ID'ers want ID'ers not more architects (particularly if there already are architects).
