2. Keep it shaded, maybe add another shade roof above the real roof to protect from sunlight, make it removable to allow heat in winter, and make small holes for air to pass through. Hope this helped!

Doing so will keep the dog house warm in winter and cool in summer. Also, pick a location that's naturally shaded from sunlight.
