What's something cool I can do for my dad's 60th birthday?
The activity is already planned ( dinner at his house and the food is already taken care of ) and it is only a few days away so I don't have much time. Just wondering if any of you could think of a way that I could make his dinner party extra special. Thanks!

- hire a cover band to play his favorite music
- Get a stripper.
- If your dad appreciates a good drink, get a 60 yr old bottle of Scotch or Vintage Port from the year he was born. That way something as old as your dad will be at the party.
- Wii or Rock Band or charades. Some play time. Nice dinners are nice, but dads still like to play with their kids. If there are grandkids, all the better. Let his 6-year-old grandkid woop him at Wii bowling. He'll love it.
- Get him a certificate for a Helicopter ride one day. That is loads of fun.
- You could like make a nice scrapbook with pics of his wife/kids to remind him of how well he spent half of his life (and leave some space to remind him that he will have more fulfilling memories) :)
- During the dinner you should play a slideshow of pictures from the year he wa born until now. Ask mom for some pictures and assemble them, he'll love to see how much effort you put into this. Hope this helps !
- You could get some Cd's of music from the 60's (this would be his music). Beatles-beach buys-rolling stones-Johny Cash ETC. If you had some time to blow up some old pictures of him as he was growing up, and up to the present, and place them around the room. Give him a couple of old type presents if you can find them. such as a hula hoop clamp on roller skates a couple of 45 records, maybe even a 78 or 33 1/3
- Stay after and clean up! I don't know if you're male or female or who is planning this and taking care of the details. I would suggest a really nice toast or little speech. Raise your glasses of whatever and give honor to your dad. Most important, just let him know in public and when you have a few moments alone with him just how important he has been in your life, what you have learned from him, how much you appreciate it, and how much you love him.
